The priesthood has its roots in the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jesus Christ was born to the Levy family through the Virgin Mary and became the spokesman in the synagogue from his teenage years until his death. His mission was to remove sins from those who had committed crimes against God. After Jesus' death, Apostle Peter received the tallit from Jesus' tomb. The tallit is a symbol of the priesthood that was passed from the non-Levy apostles to the rest of the world. The priesthood started with the Levy family, passed to Jesus Christ, and then to the apostles and those who believe in the Holy Church. Peter Apostle is also referred to as Kippah, which means skull cap in Jewish tradition. In Christianity, Kippah represents a strongly held mind against persecution. Additionally, the meaning of Kippah is also related to sovereignty and protection from the troubles or fears of the king.
